Extensive Category B fit out of M&G Real Estate’s reception area
Following the successful refurbishment of the 2nd floor at Building 5, The Heights, Faithdean were asked to carry out the extensive Category B fit out of the reception area.
The reception was fit out to a very high specification which included bespoke joinery, a feature wall with LED lighting behind the new reception desk, extensive cladding to the large elevation around the lift doors, new flooring and redecorations throughout.
The works were undertaken whilst the building was in full occupation so careful consideration had to be made to avoid any disturbances to the in-situ tenants.
A birdcage scaffold was erected out of hours to enable the high-level works to be carried out. This comprised of the strip-out of the existing ceiling, investigations, 1st fix electrics and the installation of a new ceiling enclosure with additional structural supports for the feature lighting.
