Cat B refurbishment of 55 Grosvenor Street for Capital & City Holdings
Faithdean successfully tendered this project under a JCT Contract with CDP elements on the Joinery Package.
The works consisted of the refurbishment and modernising of all common parts to a 5 storey listed building including the remodeling and fit out of their Main Reception area. The building was fully tenanted over 6 floors (including basement), with approx 100 personnel using the common areas on a daily basis.
The construction programme was based around the tenants, utilising weekend works to overcome the most disruptive elements, causing no inconvenience to weekday workings.
Refurbishment and bespoke installations
The stone floors and stairs were repaired and chemically cleaned and new LED lighting was installed to the handrails, curved walls, lift fronts, ceilings and toilets to create the modern feel the client aspired to.
The toilets to all common parts were completely replaced and refurbished using modern suites and mirrored panelling to continue the theme throughout the building.
All M&E systems were upgraded and replaced and PIR sensors installed to make the building more energy efficient and more suited to the needs of businesses in the 21st century.
