Jackson Square, Bishop’s Stortford

The £5.5 million revamp of Jackson Square Shopping Centre in Bishop’s Stortford for clients Legal and General Investment Management Real Assets (L&G)

The extensive remodel of the shopping centre comprised of the reconfiguration of shop units, a large extension to provide more than 1,000 sq m of additional retail space, a new feature entranceway to Potter Street and alterations to improve the centre’s frontage.

Led by architects Broadway Malyan, and project managed by Turner and Townsend, the refurbishment saw the existing QD unit subdivided to create two new units facing onto Potter Street, including the reconfiguration of space inside making way for a popular large fashion retailer.

Throughout the duration of the works, the shopping centre and Potter Street entrance remained accessible to customers and business was maintained as normal.
