Developing Workspace Group’s Business Model: Cat A & Cat B Fit out
Faithdean was awarded this traditional contract by Workspace Group Plc to refurbish the existing building into usable Cat A office space to suit their business model.
The works comprised of forming new openings in load bearing walls, building a new central atrium to the first floor, installing a new fire escape within the building, and installing a new entrance block in steelwork and Corten cladding.
We also completed the Cat A fit out forming new offices, centralised WC, shower and tea point facilities for shared use by tenants. A new lift was installed and new mechanical and electrical services throughout.
Building a creative workspace to a professional standard
While undertaking these works Faithdean negotiated the Cat B fit out to form Workspace Group Plc’s new London office to the first floor. The works comprised all new mechanical/electrical/AV and data installations.
The floor plate was left largely open plan with new executive offices formed for upper management including new board and meeting rooms located within the new reception. New tea point and WC suites were also formed with a lot of emphasis based upon re-using as much of the existing materials found on site as possible.
