Fire damage restoration works at Grade 2 listed building
Following a substantial fire at the Law Society of England and Wales’s headquarters at 113 and 114 Chancery Lane in central London, which saw the building’s roof and parts of the third, fourth, and fifth floors, including the offices of the Law Society’s in-house paper The Law Society Gazette set ablaze, Faithdean carried out specialist fire damage restoration works.
The works at the Grade 2 listed building comprised of emergency structural support, the strip out, and fit out of fire and water-damaged elements on all floors from the basement to the 5th floor, including the roof.
The building was at risk of collapse due to the fire damage and therefore required emergency propping, specialist surveys, the removal of burnt lead paint, asbestos and contaminated waste including ‘specialist’ environmental cleaning for smoke, fire, and water damage carried out by our experienced ‘in house’ team under the strictest health and safety guidelines.
