114 Chancery Lane, London WC2

On Saturday 1st February 2020, a fire broke out at the Law Society of England and Wales’s headquarters on 113 and 114 Chancery Lane in central London.

25 fire engines and around 150 firefighters were called to deal with the fire which saw the building’s roof and parts of the third, fourth and fifth floors, which include the offices of the Law Society’s in-house paper The Law Society Gazette, ablaze.

Currently on site, the Grade 2 listed project at 114 Chancery Lane comprises of emergency structural support, the strip out and fit out of fire and water damaged elements on all floors (basement to 5th floor, including the roof) for prestigious clients The Law Society.

The building was at risk of collapse due to the fire damage and therefore required emergency propping, specialist surveys, the removal of burnt lead paint, asbestos and contaminated waste including ‘specialist’ environmental cleaning for smoke, fire, and water damage carried out by our experienced ‘in house’ team under the strictest Health & Safety guidelines.
