The complete refurbishment of 9 Dallington Street, London

The works include the demolition, alteration and adaptation of 9 Dallington Street. Structural modifications include the extension of existing floor plates, part extension of the 4th floor and the creation of a new 5th floor.

The existing building comprised of the ground floor plus four-storeys, with the extensive refurbishment incorporating an extension at 4th floor and the creation of a new 5th floor.

The newly refurbished building provides flexible office accommodation at floors 1st – 5th with a gallery, event space, reception and café uses at ground floor.

The original floor plates have been extended to increase the lettable area to 9160 sq ft and stick system curtain walling has been installed to form an inner courtyard at ground level with a new glazed stepped façade to one side. The new upper storeys have new glazed facades with folding sliding doors onto amenity terraces and are topped with zinc clad barrel vaulted roof.

Further to the above works, we carried out the complete refurbishment and fit out of the ground to 5th-floor areas including wall, floor and ceiling finishes, reconfiguration of partitions and screens.

New building services have been installed throughout, namely mechanical, public health and electrical services (including cooling/ heating systems, ventilation installations, lighting, small power, fire alarms and detection systems, BMS control works, hot and cold water systems, drainage, sanitary ware and associated builders works. This includes the creation of a new lift shaft and the installation of a new 13 person lift.

The newly refurbished building has been given a new lease of life and now provides the client with a future-proofed building, featuring pioneering ‘pro-working’ flexible workspace.
