Technical Services Manager

Job Overview:

As a Technical Services Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of our projects, ensuring they are executed to the highest standards. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, managing the technical services and systems integration to deliver projects on time and within budget.  Responsibilities:

  • Primarily based at the Kent or London Office with certain possible periods on site, responsible to your line Director.
  • To oversee the technical services design to ensure the projects are managed and organised in line with the project and Faithdean requirements.
  • Maintaining close liaison with the Faithdean project teams and professional team, leading the technical services elements to co-ordinate and verify the design, by carrying out the checking of working and professional drawings.
  • Monitoring the on-site installations for completeness and compliance with specification and drawings including benchmarking and carrying out regular on site quality and snagging checks, during the progress of works to achieve a smooth installation process and handover.
  • To chair the services design team and sub-contractor meetings and issue Minutes of Meeting.
  • Check Technical Submittals for compliance, and authorise submission procedure for issue by the contract document controller. Review and coordinate responses appropriately.
  • Check Drawings for compliance and coordination, and authorise submission procedure for issue by the contract document controller.
  • Review information to identify any RFIs that need to be raised formally. Check RFIs for validity, and authorise submission procedure for issue by the contract document controller. Review design information and raise RFIs as appropriate. Review and coordinate responses appropriately.
  • Track information flow and produce summarised status on weekly basis for issue to project team.
  • Provide details appropriate for collation and integration into the project progress reports and talk through report at meetings as necessary.
  • Coordinate key programme milestones as agreed with the Faithdean site teams and formulate schedules to agree dates with the project stakeholders for drawings, information and sample sign-offs to suit project programme.
  • Assist in the maintaining and management the discharge of the Building Regulations and Planning Conditions, liaising with the Principle Designer as necessary.
  • Assist in compliance with project specific BREEAM / WELL/ SKA, etc. requirements.
  • Support the Document Controller, ensuring information is managed and maintained on EDMS as per the company protocol.
  • To comply with ISO procedures.
  • To comply with Health & Safety procedures.
  • Statutory Authority liaison/management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in technical services management within the construction or fit-out industry.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and regulations.
  • Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Relevant professional association membership is a plus.
  • Experience of use of Procore document/ project management software is a plus
