Our two phased project at Ladymead Retail Park involved the amalgamation and façade alterations to Units 3A and 3B to create a new a unit for a new M&S Foodhall.
During this project we completely transformed the façade on 2 elevations, with a new terracotta rainscreen cladding, glazed curtain wall and contemporary feature canopy. The transformation was complete with new roof cladding replacing the removed mansard, new gutters and rainwater connections, over sheeting and underlining to the existing roof lights.
The first phase of the project involved the internal strip out of the existing units 3A and 3B including fixtures and fittings, flooring and ceiling panels, redundant partitions, and M&E features.
Whilst the second phase comprised the work to the building shell and external works. This included the addition of a new scissor lift pit and loading areas, new covered trolley bays, new palisade fence and crash barriers to the delivery area together with adjusting levels of the wrap around hard standings, complete with new drainage and incoming utilities. Internally the existing mezzanine was reconfigured to suit the new requirements of M&S.
