Following our previous fire remediation work in 2020, it’s great to come full circle at 114 Chancery Lane and complete the project.
Following a blaze in London’s historic law district, that was tackled by around 150 firefighters, we were appointed to make the building safe by installing a structural support scaffold and strip the damaged material out of the building as part of the insurance works.
Fast forward to 2024 and we’re delighted to start works at 114 Chancery Lane on behalf of The Law Society to restore and repair its historic headquarters that were ravaged by the fire. This impressive Grade II* Listed Building overlooks the Royal Courts of Justice and will provide almost 19,000 sq ft of ornate office space.
The project includes a mixture of heritage sympathetic and modern refurbishment, structural works as well as the reconstruction of the top two floors and mansard roof.
The team for 114 Chancery Lane includes TFT, Purcell, Clarkebond and MZA Consulting Engineers.
