Brief Overview of the Project:
Our project at Jackson Square will create a new Anchor Store to underpin the revitalisation of the centre. The Anchor Store for a major national retailer will become one of the largest retailers in the centre providing a strong attraction to visitors of both the mall and Bishops Stortford. The project will result in a 54sqm/581.3 sqft increase in area for the shopping centre and includes the following:
- Redevelopment and reconfiguration of part of the shopping centre fronting Bridge Street to allow for the creation of a new c.16,200sqft Anchor store at first/mall level
- A new contextual, yet modern facade to improve the centre’s relationship with Bridge Street replacing a portion of existing, tired facade in a highly visual location
- The creation of a replacement accessible entrance on Bridge Street
- Introduction of a new plant enclose at roof level
- The demolition of the tertiary Bridge Street entrance, creating the space for the development to take place
- At ground level, the creation of 5 new retail units, greatly improving the amount of active frontage and increasing footfall in this location
- New public realm improvements utilising high-quality materials
- New Centre & tenant signage
